But a crow steps in to give his counsel, resulting in the end of the relationship between the crows and the owls. How the Jackal Ate the Elephant is a story of how the jackal plotted a way of defeating the king by telling him that he had done the impossible task of devouring an elephant. The Dullard and Other Stories is the story of a failure of a man, a man who has good common sense and how he uses it to succeed in life. Stories From The Panchatantra: 5 In 1 (Amar Chitra Katha) was published by Amar Chitra Katha Private Limited in 1998 and is available in hardcover. Anant Pai is the maker of the famous children's comic books called Tinkle and Amar Chitra Katha. He is fondly called Uncle Pai by children. He had noticed that on a quiz show on Doordarshan, children could not answer questions related to Indian mythology but could answer questions about Greek mythology. This gave him the idea of writing stories about Indian mythology. His books have sold over eighty six million copies, with four hundred and forty titles. He founded the Partha Institute of Personality Development that deals with personality development in children and teenagers. He has received the Maharashtra Rajya Hindi Sahitya Academy Award, Lifetime Achievement Award at the first Indian comic convention and Raja Rammohan Roy Library Foundation's Award.
