Geronimo Stilton is the pseudonym of Elisabetta Dami, the author who created this popular mouse character. The series credits Geronimo, the protagonist, as the author of the book. Originally, it was started and published by Edizioni Piemme of Milan, Italy, in 2000. Scholastic Corporation published the English version of the series in 2004.
