Mr Gum and the Secret Hideout
Good evening. Talking parrots in the rooftops? A giant cactus on the high street? Mosquitos so nasty that even their own friends don't like them? Something's gone terribly wrong in Lamonic Bibber . . . and Mr Gum is nowhere to be found. Yes, folks, Polly and Friday are facing their biggest challenge yet. So strap yourselves in, cry 'HI-HO-WEIRDY!' and get ready for an adventure so crazy your feet will melt with happiness! And I'm not just saying that, I've actually seen it happen. HOORAY! 'Thank you, thank you Andy Stanton for adding another book to the amazing tales of Mr Gum.' - School Librarian Journal 'They are fantastic... they are brilliant books for adults to read as well... I fully recommend them.' - Zoe Ball live on BBC Radio 2 About The Author Andy Stanton lives in North London. He studied English at Oxford but they kicked him out. He has been a film script reader, a cartoonist, an NHS lackey and lots of other things. He has many interests, but best of all he likes cartoons, books and music (even jazz). One day he'd like to live in New York or Berlin or one of those places because he's got fantasies of bohemia. His favourite expressions are 'Good evening' and 'What on earth is THAT?!' and his favourite word is 'werewolf'. David Tazzyman lives in South London with his girlfriend, Melanie, and their son, Stanley. He grew up in Leicester, studied illustration at Manchester Metropolitan University and then travelled around Asia for three years before moving to London in 1997. He likes football, cricket, biscuits, music and drawing. He still dislikes celery.
