व्यवस्थापनक्षेत्रातील शरु रांनगनणेकर हे मोठे नाव.भारत अन् भारताबहेरही त्यांनी या क्षेत्रात भरघोस कार्य आहे. अमेरिकन विद्यापिठात व्यवस्थापनक्षेत्रातील उच्च पदवी प्राप्त केल्यावर त्यांनी तेथेच विविध उद्योगांमध्ये उच्च पदे भूषविली. त्यानंतर ते भारतातील अनेक प्रतिष्ठानांत उच्च पदांवर कार्यरत होते. १९७८ साली सेवानिवृत्त झाल्यावर टाटा इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ़ सोशल सायन्सेस अन् काही प्रतिष्ठित व्ययास्थापन-संस्थांमध्ये त्यानी अध्यापकाचे कार्य केले. एक प्रभावी वक्ता अन् उत्कृष्ट लेखक म्हणून त्यांची ख्याती आहे. भारतातील व्यवस्थापनक्षेत्रातील कितीतरी मजेदार कथा त्यानी 'इन द वंडरलॅड ऑफ़ इंडियन मॅनेगेर्स' आणि 'इन द वर्ल्ड ऑफ़ कॉर्पोरेट मॅनेगेर्स' या ग्रंथांत समाविष्ट केल्या आहेत. 'आपल्या पत्नीकडून व्यवस्थापन कसं शिंकव !' हे त्यांचं उद् वेली बूक्सने प्रकाशित केलेले पुस्तक लोकप्रिय ठरले. व्यवसायाने केमिकल इंजिनियर अन् उच्चपदस्थ व्यवस्थापन असलेले शरू रांनगनेकर मराठी कथाक्षेत्रातही समर्थपणे आपली हजेरी असतात. त्यांचा हा कथासंग्रह मराठी रसिकांच्या पसंतिला याची आम्हाला खात्री आहे.
