Lost Men
I finally decided I had to get out of London after my mother-in-law walked in on me wanking. It was four days after Jane's memorial service, and Debbie had stayed on in the house because she wanted to be near her daughter's things a while longer... She rushed back out with a loud cry; I followed shortly (after I'd pulled up my tracksuit bottoms) and found her in her room where all I could think to say was to make clear that I had been looking solely at pictures of Jane. Which was true.' Each of the stories in Lost Men encounters its characters at moments when they are floundering, some in the wake of crisis, others on the verge of major discovery. Each one asks in a different situation - what do people seek when they are utterly lost? Clever, dark, absurd and poignant, but always irreverently funny, Chakraborti is an original storyteller with a quietly assured voice.

Narendra Modi: The Man, the Times
On 26 December 2012, Narendra Modi was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the fourth time to extend his record tenure in office. Mass Murderer or Development Man? It depends on which side of the spectrum he is viewed from, because Narendra Modi is one of those politicians whose name prompts extremes of hate-filled anger or outright adulation. Despite polarizing Gujarat and India in more ways than one, Modi brilliantly does what it takes to survive in a democracy: win elections. Written by veteran journalist and writer, Nilanjan Mukhopadhyay, after several in-depth interviews, meticulous research and extensive travel through Gujarat, this book reveals hitherto unknown aspects of Narendra Modis psyche: as a six- year-old boy selling tea to help out his father and distributing badges and raising slogans at the behest of a local political leader; abandoning his family and wife in search of his definition of truth; initiation into the RSS as a fledgling who ran errands for his seniors; his idea of Gujarati pride and Indian-ness; and finally, his meteoric rise which gave him a distinct identity post the 2002 Godhra riots. Narendra Modi: The Man, The Times is a definitive biography of a man who may have challenged the basic principles of a sovereign secular nation but emerged at its destination as an undisputed and larger-than-life leader.

The Unreasonable Fellows
How many of us dream about changing the world when we grow up? And how many of us actually have the courage to pursue a path less trodden? And then stick to it patiently, not losing faith, crossing all the hurdles, one after the other? Luckily, there are more than a few people who dare to stand for a cause they believe in, despite the setbacks. The Unreasonable Fellows chronicles the journeys of ten such social or environmental entrepreneurs who, with their unreasonable attitude and passionate ventures, are doing their bit in making the world a better place. The Unreasonable Fellows is an inspiring account, which teaches us how to take that key first step, by learning how others have. What is the Unreasonable Institute? Unreasonable Institute gets world-changing ventures and entrepreneurs what they need to scale their impact. Each year, they unite 10-30 entrepreneurs (called Unreasonable Fellows) from every corner of the globe to live under the same roof for six weeks in Boulder, Colorado. These entrepreneurs receive customized training and support from 50 world-class mentors, ranging from a Time Magazine Hero of the Planet, to the head of user experience at Google X, to an entrepreneur whos enabled over 20 million farmers to move out of poverty. In the process, they form relationships with corporations and international organizations, receive legal advice & design consulting, and get in front of hundreds of potential funders. The goal is to bring all the resources to accelerate these ventures so they can scale to meet the needs of at least one million people each.

A Storm of Swords 2: Blood and Gold : Blood and Go
A Storm Of Swords 2: Blood And Gold is the second part of the third novel in George R. R. Martin’s epic fantasy series, A Song of Ice And Fire. It picks up the threads of the plot from its predecessor and continues to focus on the gripping War of the Five Kings, which is being fought against the backdrop of the seven kingdoms of Westeros and the harshness of the winter. It highlights the problems of the ordinary man in the face of the civil war. In this book, the villagers embark on a journey to Frostfangs to gather ice and stone. Going by their careful planning, they will be led South by Brother Mance Rayder, a rebel. In the Kingdom of the North, Robb Stark assumes the mantle of the new king. Meanwhile, his sisters are being held captive in the land of the Lannisters, Stark’s enemies. They are at the mercy of Joffrey the young king, and his mother Cersei. Elsewhere, Daenerys Stormborn prepares to return to her homeland and avenge the death of her father, who happened to be the last Dragon King ruling the Iron Throne. A Storm Of Swords 2: Blood And Gold was first published in the year 2000. The UK, Israeli, Polish, and Australian editions split the novel into two parts. However, the US edition, also published in the same year, presented both parts of the third novel in a single volume. The book won a Locus Poll Award for Best Fantasy Novel (2003), and a Premio Ignotus for Best Foreign Novel (2006).

A Feast for Crows
The series, A Song Of Ice And Fire, narrates an epic fantasy story that is set in Westeros and Essos, two separate continents that share an ancient history and are linked by a common dynasty. The first two novels trace the events in Westeros after the death of the last king of the Targaryen Dynasty. The third book is set in the continent of Essos, where the last known descendant of the Targaryen line, Daenerys Targaryen, slowly rises to power. The whole series traces the power struggle for the Iron Throne of Westeros, with various factions staking claim to it. In the fourth book, A Feast For Crows, the War of the Five Kings finally draws to an end. Most of the main disputants for the Iron throne are dead. Jon Snow, the alleged son of Eddard Stark, has now become the Commander of the Night watch. In the absence of King Stannis Baratheon, Joffrey’s eight year old brother, Tommen Baratheon, is now the ruler of King’s Landing, watched over by his mother Cersei Lannister. The manuscript of A Feast for Crows was so huge that the author was compelled to split it. He decided to split the novel geographically rather than chronologically. For this reason, A Feast For Crows and A Dance With Dragons trace events that take place simultaneously, but in different locations. In A Feast For Crows, the story focuses on the happenings in Westeros, the Riverlands, Dorne, King’s Landing, and the Iron Islands. The events in Essos, Winterfell, and the Wall are covered in A Dance With Dragons. Cersei Lannister finally realizes her dreams of power as she is now the factual ruler of King’s Landing. She is not as skilled in administration as she is in intrigue and makes many ill-advised moves, making many enemies in the process, leading to her own downfall. The book also follows the events in the Riverlands, the Eyrie, Iron Islands, and Dorne. This book also covers a part of the story of Arya Stark in the East. The rest of her story is covered in the next book.
